Ed’s 30 years of experience in construction started when he was just in high school helping his dad who was a bricklayer. After Ed graduated, he worked for his older brother’s construction company. Ed became very proficient in all phases of construction and became a master custom framer, trim carpenter and cabinet maker. Although the company still took on new residential projects, the company shifted into commercial projects remodeling restaurants, gas stations, churches, government projects including township halls, court houses & fire departments.
Ed missed working with residential clients and the small town feel, so he went off and started his own company in 2000 and in 2003 became incorporated to what is now known as Edward Overbeck, Builder, Inc.

Besides remodeling and building custom homes, Ed is also a licensed Realtor in the state of Michigan along with his wife, Jayne Overbeck who has been a Realtor for over 29 years. They enjoy purchasing homes and renovating them and this gives Ed great pride helping more people enjoy home ownership.
